What a cookie is, briefly
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise you on the next page or the next visit. Some are needed to make a site function, such as keeping you logged in. Others exist to measure traffic or follow you across sites for advertising. This site has no login and no advertising, so it has no reason to set either kind.

The login form on the Sky Exchange login page deserves a specific mention because people expect a login form to remember them. It does not. It opens WhatsApp with your ID in the message and keeps no record on this site. There is no password field, no "remember me" box and no session behind it.
Links that leave the site
Every WhatsApp button and the email link take you to a service we do not run. WhatsApp has its own cookie policy, and once you are there it applies. The same goes for the platform you log in to after the team confirms your ID. Our responsibility ends at the edge of these pages.
If analytics is switched on later
The team may at some point enable a basic analytics tool to see which pages help people and which do not. If that happens, this page will name the tool, list the exact cookies it sets and how long they last, and explain how to opt out. Advertising and personalisation storage would stay off. The change would be dated on the updates page and noted in the privacy policy. Until you see those entries, nothing has changed.
Managing cookies in your browser
You do not need to do anything for this site, but if you want to check or clear cookies generally, every browser has a setting for it. On Chrome for Android it sits under Settings, then Site settings, then Cookies. On Safari for iPhone it is under Settings, Safari, then Clear History and Website Data. Desktop browsers have the same controls under Privacy. Blocking all cookies will not break any page here.
Why we keep it this way
Our readers are often checking whether a message or a page is genuine, and a site that loads trackers from a dozen networks is harder to trust. Keeping these pages free of tracking makes them lighter, faster on a slow connection, and easier to tell apart from copies, which tend to load whatever scripts they can.
