Sky Exchange Blog: Notes From the Desk

Shorter pieces than the guides, each one answering a question that came up in the chat often enough to deserve its own page.

What the desk blog is for

The guides on this site walk through whole tasks: how to get a Sky Exchange ID, how to read the cricket screen, how a withdrawal travels from request to bank. They are long because the tasks are long. The blog is the opposite. Each post picks one question that keeps arriving in the WhatsApp chat and answers it on its own page, so the next time someone asks we can send a link instead of a wall of text.

The same rules apply here as everywhere else on the site. The people writing are the people answering the chat. Figures in examples are round numbers made up to show the arithmetic, never live prices or limits. Nothing is a tip or a prediction. Every post is read against the live desk process by Lazaro Duychak before it goes up, and the date at the top records that check. If a post and the chat ever disagree, the chat is right and the post gets fixed.

Posts assume you already know the basics. If back, lay and liability are new words, start with the Sky Exchange guides and come back; the blog will make much more sense afterwards.

If there is something you have asked the desk twice and still find confusing, tell us. Say so in the chat or write to the address on our about page. Questions that come from more than one player are the ones that become posts. Anything specific to your own ID stays in the chat, where we can look at the actual bet.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is the blog different from the guides?

A guide covers a whole task from start to finish, such as getting an ID or making a withdrawal. A blog post takes one narrow question and answers only that. Posts are shorter, they assume you have read the relevant guide, and they are written when the same question keeps arriving in the chat.

How often are new posts added?

There is no fixed schedule. A post is written when a question comes up often enough at the desk that typing the answer again makes no sense. Each one carries a review date at the top, and when the desk process behind it changes the post is updated and the date moves.

Can I ask for a topic?

Yes. Mention it in your WhatsApp chat with the desk, or send it to the email address on the contact page. If the question is one we hear from other players too, it goes on the list. Questions about your own account are still answered in the chat, not on the blog.

Play with a limit you set before the match

Decide a weekly amount, take breaks, and stop when it stops being fun. The desk can pause your ID if you ask.
