What the demo shows you
Most people who message us for a Sky Exchange demo ID have never used an exchange before. They've seen a friend's screen, or a clip somewhere, and the odds grid looked like a stock ticker. The demo exists so that grid stops being confusing.
Once you log in with the demo, the platform looks the way it looks for everyone else. The cricket section, the match list, the back and lay columns, the bet slip that opens when you tap a price. Pick a match, tap a price, type a stake and place it. The bet sits in your open bets like a real one would.
The odds move too. Watch a live over and you'll see prices tick up and down as each ball is bowled. That movement is the whole point of an exchange, and it's far easier to understand by watching it for a few overs than by reading about it. The demo is also the quickest way to test your own phone. Slow data, an old browser, a small screen. Better to find that out on practice access than during a match you care about. The mobile login page covers the phone side in more detail.
What is switched off
A demo is not a free bet. It's a look around. So a few things are deliberately missing.
- No deposits. There is no balance to top up, and nobody on our team will ask you to pay anything for a demo login.
- No withdrawals. Practice winnings are not money. If a demo ever shows a cash-out screen that wants your bank details, close it and message us.
- No real settlement. Bets resolve on screen so you can see how a win or a loss lands, but nothing is owed either way.
- Limited sections. Some markets or games may be hidden on practice access. The desk tells you in the chat what your particular demo can open.
Anything the demo cannot do, the full Sky Exchange ID can. That's the trade.
How to ask for a Sky Exchange demo ID
There's no form. You message the team and say what you want.
- Open the WhatsApp chat from a button on this site. Same number as for a full ID, same people answering.
- Type "demo ID" so we know what you're after. Hindi or English, whichever you're comfortable with.
- Send your name and mobile number. The demo is tied to that number, and if you upgrade later, the full ID is tied to the same one.
- Confirm you are 18 or older. Practice access is still Sky Exchange access, so the age rule applies. Availability also depends on where you live.
- Receive the demo login in the chat, along with the platform link. Set your own password on the platform, not in WhatsApp.
If you already hold a full ID and want a demo to show someone else, say so. One person, one ID still applies to real accounts, and the desk will explain what's possible for practice logins.
What our team will never ask for a demo
- Your password, an OTP or a PIN. We create the demo login and you set the password yourself, on the platform.
- A payment of any kind. A demo has no balance, so there is nothing to fund.
- A second number to continue the chat on. Everything stays in the one conversation you started.

Converting a demo into a full ID
You don't start again. Message the same chat from the same number and say you're ready for a real ID. The team already has your name and number from the demo request, so the conversation is short.
What changes is the deposit. A full Skyexchange ID goes live once your first deposit is confirmed, and the method for that is explained in the chat. UPI and bank transfer are the usual routes. The full ID is a separate login, with its own password that you set fresh on the platform. From then on the Sky Exchange login page is where you head. The desk confirms in the chat if your demo login stays open after the switch, so don't be surprised if it closes.
Practice bets do not carry over. Nothing you "won" on the demo is credited, and nothing you "lost" is owed. The real account begins at your deposit.
Who should try the demo first
Not everyone needs one. Some people have used exchanges for years and just want an ID. But there are situations where we actively suggest the demo before anything else.
- First time on any exchange. If "lay" means nothing to you yet, take the demo. Placing a lay bet with practice money is how it clicks.
- Switching from a bookmaker app. Fixed-odds apps hide the market. An exchange shows both sides and the prices move. Give yourself a match to adjust.
- Unsure about your phone or connection. Log in on the demo during a live match and see how the pages load on your data.
- Helping a family member decide. Rather than describing it, hand them a practice login and let them tap around.
- Checking you are on the real platform. A demo issued by our desk lands you on the genuine platform, which is a useful reference if you ever see a lookalike.
Mistakes people make with practice access
Treating it like a real balance. Losing practice stakes costs nothing, so people place bets they would never place with their own money. Then the full ID feels different. Try to bet on the demo the way you'd actually bet.
Testing on one match only. Odds behave differently in the last over of a T20 than in a long Test session. Spend time in a couple of formats before deciding if the platform suits you.
Skipping the settings. Whatever the platform lets you adjust, find it on the demo so you're not hunting for it once real money is on the line.
