Everything else about the two, from the login page to the app, is identical. That is the point. The demo isn't a toy version; it is the real platform with the wallet disconnected.
What the demo is actually for
Learning how a betting exchange behaves before your money is on the line. On an exchange you can back and lay, prices move while you're watching, and a mistap can put a bet you didn't want into the market. None of that is intuitive the first time. The demo lets you make those mistakes for nothing.
It is also for checking the platform suits you. Does the layout make sense on your phone? Do the markets you care about appear when you expect? Can you follow a live cricket session without getting lost? Those are things to find out with a pretend balance.
What the demo is not for is measuring how you'd do with real money. People bet differently when nothing is at stake, and a good week in the demo tells you little about a real one. Treat it as driving lessons, not a race.
What the real ID adds
A real Sky Exchange ID is your account. It is issued once, after a short WhatsApp chat, and tied to the mobile number you messaged from. That number is how the desk recognises you for everything afterwards, from a password reset to a withdrawal. The Sky Exchange ID page walks through how it's issued and what to send.
With the real ID, deposits and withdrawals switch on. Both are arranged in the same WhatsApp chat; UPI and bank transfer are the usual routes, and the deposits and withdrawals page explains how a request runs. The desk confirms any figures in the chat rather than on a page.
The real ID also comes with responsibility. It's one per person, it's yours alone, and the password matters in a way it never did on the demo.

How both IDs are issued, and what never changes
- Only through the team. Demo or real, the ID comes from a WhatsApp chat with the number on Official Channels. There is no sign-up form for either.
- No password, no OTP. The desk never asks for either when issuing a demo, issuing a real ID, or moving you from one to the other.
- No deposit for a demo. Anyone asking for money to activate a demo login is not the Sky Exchange team.

Moving from demo to real ID
There is no upgrade button. You ask.
- Decide you are ready. A reasonable test: you can place and cancel a back bet and a lay bet in the demo without hesitating, and you understand what happens to each when the market moves.
- Message the desk from your own mobile number. The same WhatsApp chat you used for the demo is fine. Say you have been using the demo and want a real Sky Exchange ID.
- Confirm your details. The team checks that you are 18+ and that the platform is available where you are, then ties the new ID to your number. It may ask a couple of plain questions; it will not ask for a password or an OTP.
- Receive the real ID in the chat. It is a different username from the demo. Log in on the platform with it, set a strong password, and log out of the demo so you never confuse the two.

Keeping the two logins straight
The most common Skyexchange mix-up we see is someone typing demo credentials into a session where they meant to play for real, or the other way round, then wondering why a bet didn't count or why a deposit isn't showing. A couple of habits prevent it.
Give the two logins different passwords, so muscle memory can't carry you into the wrong one. Check the balance figure after every login; a practice figure looks different from money you actually deposited.
