How a Sky Exchange UPI deposit works
There is no payment page on this site and no deposit button inside your login. Every deposit is arranged one at a time with a person on the desk. That feels slower than tapping a button, but it is why the team can match each payment to the right Sky Exchange ID and sort out problems on the spot.
UPI and bank transfer are the usual routes. UPI is the one most people pick because the payment lands quickly and the reference number is right there in your app. This guide covers UPI only; the Deposits and Withdrawals page covers the overall process and the bank transfer route.
Before you pay
Two minutes of checking here saves a long wait later.
- Your ID is active and you can log in. A deposit against an ID that is locked or still being set up has to wait, so fix the login first with the Login Problems guide.
- You have asked the desk for the current minimum and any note about the payment. The desk confirms the current figure in the chat.
- The payment details you are about to use came from the team, in this chat, today. Details from an older message, a forum or another page do not count.
- Your UPI app has enough daily limit left for the amount. If it does not, split the payment only after telling the desk you are doing so.
Step by step
- Say you want to deposit. Message the team with your login ID and the amount you plan to send. Write the amount in numbers so there is nothing to misread.
- Wait for the payment details. The desk replies with where to pay. Read the reply once more before you open your UPI app, and do not use details from any earlier message.
- Pay from your UPI app. Enter the details exactly as shared, match the amount to what you said in the chat, and add your login ID in the remark field if the app offers one.
- Take the screenshot. It needs to show the amount, the status and the transaction reference (often called UTR or transaction ID). Crop nothing off.
- Send it back in the same chat. One message, the screenshot, and your login ID again. If you split the payment, send one screenshot per transfer.
- Wait for the credit confirmation. The team tells you when the balance is updated. Log out and log in again on the platform to see the new figure.
The screenshot rule
We ask for a screenshot every single time, even from people who have deposited with us many times before. Yes, that sounds strict. The reason is simple: the reference number in the screenshot is the only thing that ties a payment in a bank feed to a name in our chat. Without it the team is guessing, and we do not guess with your money.
A screenshot from the UPI app itself is better than one from a bank SMS, because it shows the status as well as the amount. If your app shows the payment as pending, wait until it changes to success or failed before you send anything.
Only pay to details shared in the chat, that day
Payment details can change between one deposit and the next. Sending money to details from last month, or to a number you found in a comment thread, is the most common way a deposit goes missing. Each deposit gets a fresh request and a fresh reply. The team also never asks for your UPI PIN, your password or an OTP, and any chat that does is not ours. Check the number against Official Channels if you are unsure, and read how to spot a fake Sky Exchange site if a page asked you to pay directly.
Common UPI hiccups and what to do
| What you see | What usually happened | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Payment stuck on pending | Your bank or the UPI network is slow to settle | Wait until the app shows a final status. Do not pay again. Tell the desk it is pending so we watch for it. |
| Debited, but no credit on the ID yet | The team has not matched the payment, usually because the screenshot has not arrived | Send the screenshot with the reference number in the same chat and wait for confirmation. |
| Paid a different amount than you said | A typo in the app or a split payment | Tell the desk the actual amount and send the screenshot. The credit matches what arrived. |
| Paid to details from an old message | Details had changed since | Message the desk at once with the screenshot. The sooner we know, the more we can do. |
| UPI app refused the payment | Daily limit reached or the bank blocked it | Check your limit in the app, try a smaller amount after telling the desk, or ask about bank transfer. |
| Balance shows old figure after credit | The platform session is cached | Log out and log in again. If it still does not update, follow the mobile login tips on clearing the browser cache. |
UPI or bank transfer?
Pick UPI when the amount fits inside your daily app limit and you want the credit sorted in one chat. Pick bank transfer when the amount is larger than your UPI limit or your UPI app keeps failing. The steps after payment are the same either way: screenshot, reference number, confirmation. Whichever you choose, the money side of the account only ever runs through the WhatsApp desk, and the same is true when you take funds out, which the withdrawal timing guide explains.
Keeping your deposit safe
Your UPI PIN belongs in your UPI app and nowhere else. Your platform password belongs on the platform and nowhere else. The team needs neither to credit a deposit, and we will never ask. If someone claiming to be Sky Exchange asks for either, stop the chat, save it, and message the number on Official Channels so we can act. The full list of habits worth keeping is in the Sky Exchange security checklist, and the Support page tells you what to send if something has already gone wrong.
